We are excited to announce that PHILSA will be reviving the undergraduate philosophy journal (previously known as the ‘Prolegomena’) under the new name of ‘Hemlock’.
As a chance to get involved with philosophical writing, and to get publication credit in your undergraduate years, we strongly encourage you to submit a paper of philosophical nature to be considered for publication, and the guidelines for submission are given below.

SUBMISSION DEADLINE: Tuesday, March 15, 2016
Hemlock is a student run academic philosophy journal. We accept undergraduate submissions in English from all universities.Submissions can be of any length, to a maximum of 25 pages, and should be double-spaced and have a complete list of citations in MLA, Chicago or APA style. We accept papers on any philosophically relevant topic. Papers should be well-written and demonstrate advanced
philosophical ability. We particularly invite submissions of papers developing original theses.
To submit a paper for consideration, please send the following to firstname.lastname@example.org:
1. A .doc copy of your paper
2. A .PDF copy of your paper
3. A separate document containing:
a. An abstract including the title of your paper
b. Your full name
c. Your institution
d. Your major(s) / specialization(s)
e. Your contact information
We do a blind-review process of papers to ensure the elimination of bias. Please remove any identifying information from the submitted paper. In addition, we accept papers on a rolling basis. The review process will begin, time permitting, upon submission of the paper. Notifications regarding acceptance will be sent out after completion of the review process.
