We’re excited to announce the launch of Continuing Education courses from the Department of Philosophy. Beginning April 2, these new offerings are designed to bring philosophical thinking beyond the classroom and into the wider community.
Explore big questions and fresh perspectives with our engaging courses, created for curious minds, professionals, and lifelong learners alike. No prior background in philosophy is required—just an interest in ideas about ethics, knowledge, society, and the human experience.
Our upcoming course, In Defence of Subjectivity, taught by Dr. Anders Kraal, begins April 2.
In this course, we explore influential and controversial ideas as developed in Concluding Unscientific Postscript (1846). We examine what Søren Kierkegaard takes subjectivity to be, and how it relates to concepts such as “interest,” “passion,” and “concern.” We also consider how his account of subjectivity connects to his views on truth and objectivity.
It’s an excellent opportunity to engage with philosophical debates in a welcoming and accessible learning environment.
Whether you’re looking to deepen your thinking, explore new perspectives, or simply enjoy the challenge of philosophical discussion, our Continuing Education courses offer a rewarding experience.
More courses will be announced soon—stay tuned!
