About

Nivretta came to philosophy after working as a neuroscientist and via her current role as a climate science communicator. Her research aim, for now, is to show how scientists motivated by the health of human bodies and of the planet can improve their concepts of suffering, and to ask whether the culture of science can change to better prioritize the abating of suffering. While not incorporated into her research (yet), philosophy of mind and Indian philosophy are also areas of genuine interest and inspiration.
