About

Zhichen is interested in a range of questions in the philosophy of normativity, such as the nature of normative reason and the nature of normative knowledge. His current research asks whether different forms of creditworthiness (e.g., moral, epistemic, and aesthetic creditworthiness) share a common ground and, if so, what that ground is. Before joining the PhD program in philosophy at UBC, he received his BA in philosophy from Sichuan University (Chengdu, China) and his MA in philosophy from Peking University (Beijing, China).

When not doing philosophy, he enjoys hiking, watching movies, making spicy food, and top-rope climbing.
