We are pleased to announce that this year’s Paul Tang Memorial Graduate Scholarships are awarded to Noah Macdonald and Desmond Wood-Anderson.
Dr. Tang was a philosophy major at UBC, graduating in 1966, and went on to become Professor of Philosophy at California State University, Long Beach. He passed away in 2013. Because of Dr. Tang’s involvement in MA teaching at CSULB, the Graduate Committee awards the scholarship to the MA students with the best performance in philosophy graduate seminars. We are very pleased that an alumnus chose to honour our department, and that we have this opportunity to highlight the achievements of our MA students.
