We are excited to announce that Fatema Amijee, currently an Assistant Professor of Philosophy at the National University of Singapore, will be joining the department starting July 2020. Professor Amijee works in early modern philosophy, metaphysics, feminist philosophy, and early analytic philosophy. She is an expert in the principle of sufficient reason and cognate metaphysical notions, both in contemporary metaphysics and in the work of Leibniz and other rationalists. In addition to her numerous publications to date on these topics, she also has some papers on Bertrand Russell’s epistemology, and she is developing work in Feminism, particularly Feminist Islam.
