About

Bio: My work focuses on dignity, moral status, animal ethics, social relations and dignitarian social norms. Prior to coming to UBC, I completed my PhD at the Manchester Centre for Political Theory. In my PhD, I argued that nonhuman animals have dignity and so have certain claimable rights. My current research focuses on interspecies social relations, what it means for humans and other animals to have a socially dignified status, and what obligations we might have to relate to animals in particular ways.
